Whitby
Tennis Club was founded by the local community in 1975, and is situated in the Porirua suburb of Whitby.
There
are four courts, two with a rebound synpave surface, and two surfaced with
asphalt. The two rebound synpave courts have floodlights that allow members
to play up to 10:00pm at night. We have well appointed clubrooms and ample
off road car parking.
Whitby
Tennis Club offers membership options for all ages and for all playing
abilities, whether you’re a casual member wanting access to club facilities
as and when you feel like a game, or a semi-competitive member with an
organised mid-week evening league.
Weekend
Interclub members are also involved in teams entered into a range of grades
including Regional, Men’s, Women’s, Mixed and Junior teams in either the Wellington
or Kapi Mana competitions. All grades commence in early October and run
through until April the next year.
Members
of the public may use the courts too. Please note that Whitby Tennis Club
uses the courts during the tennis season (September to April) during the
times below;
- Monday 3:30pm to 7:30pm
- Tuesday 4:00pm to 5:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:30pm
- Wednesday 5:00pm to 6:30pm and 7:30pm to 8:30pm
- Thursday 6:00pm to 9:00pm
- Friday 6:00pm to 7:30pm
- Saturday 9:00am to 5:30pm (All Day Interclub)
- Sunday 9:00am to 1:00pm (Interclub)
Refer

Tournaments and Club Championships. Please restrict your games to 30 minutes
if others are waiting. Additional Porirua City Council public courts

Whitby
Tennis Club provides you with the opportunity to meet friendly local
people, to get your kids involved in a healthy outdoor sport, and to play
sport at a competitive level if you wish. Contact
